The National Archive is Taking Shape!

As I explained in a recent podcast...

They say a week is a long time in politics. I have no idea what that makes two months. An age? An aeon? A very, very, very long time indeed?

It’s my fault, of course. February and March were going so well, I was in such a lovely flow state of posting weekly to this Substack, and, well, you know how it is when life is going smoothly you allow yourself to believe that it always will. I should’ve known that if I turned paid subscriptions back on something would happen to stop me posting regularly—but in my defense, I had no expectations whatsoever that I’d actually win my election race and end up as Councillor Edmunds, much less that Reform would unceremoniously dump me less than 48 hours later, propelling me into the pages of the BBC and a meeting with Rupert Lowe (more on that another time, perhaps)

And yet, here we are.

Two months on and the dust seems to finally be settling. The National Archive (the subject of my last post) is taking shape, and I’ve made some new friends along the way. Friends such as Momus Najmi, an historian and author who has his own podcast, The World Of Momus. Last Friday we sat down together to discuss Reform, the National Archive, my time in Israel, and the common thread between them all: my life. Do have a watch, or, if you’re like me, a listen while preparing dinner. I hope you enjoy it.
